The way the CLPE ecourages teachers and children to engage with texts over an extended period, through a variety of mediums and methods was very influential when I began to plan my first ARG.
In 2005 our school participated in the Power of Reading Project run by the Centre for Literacy in Primary Education. I was the Reading Co-ordinator at Rosendale Primary School at the time and was given the opportunity to attend conferences at the CLPE and disseminate information and ideas at school through training sessions, and purchasing resources. This collaboration with the CLPE has had a lasting positive impact on the way we plan, teach and learn with the children in our classes at Rosendale.
